MOTHER ROAD MARKET TO CELEBRATE FIFTH ANNIVERSARY WITH COMMUNITY-WIDE BIRTHDAY BASH ON NOVEMBER 4   

Everyone is invited to join the celebration that includes local food, family fun and a brew festival

Tulsa, OK – November 2, 2023 – Oklahoma’s first and only nonprofit food hall, Mother Road Market (MRM), is inviting the Tulsa community to come celebrate as they ring in five years of doing good, eating well and shopping local. 

Since its opening in 2018, Mother Road Market has become a vibrant community space on historic Route 66 that brings people together through food. Over the past five years, it has grown significantly, adding a retail component, welcoming new entrepreneurs through the doors and hosting visitors from all 50 states. 

“We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with the Tulsa community - the ones who have made this all possible,” said Cory Ross, Events and Hospitality Manager at Mother Road Market. “So many memories have been created within these walls; everything from first dates to entrepreneurs opening their first storefront.”

All day on Saturday, Nov. 4, customers can enjoy a wide array of activities from shopping at the Tulsa Market District Neighborhood Market to trying samples of beers and spirits from local breweries and distilleries. Check out the whole lineup below: 

  • All day: Mother Road Market Medallion Hunt. Test your Route 66 knowledge and decipher the clues to find a limited edition MRM Medallion! Clues are exclusively released in the MRM newsletter so be sure to subscribe at bit.ly/hunt66.

  • 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m: Tulsa Market District Neighborhood Market. Come shop local with thirteen different vendors showcasing everything from cookies to home goods to permanent jewelry.

  • 11:00 a.m: Balloon twisters and face painters on Tulsa’s Best Patio

  • 11:30 a.m: Re-Paint the Art Car with Clean Hands

  • 12:30 p.m: Science show with BAM Entertainment 

  • 1:30 p.m: Kids concert with Sugar Free Allstars

  • 2:30 p.m. - OU v.s. OSU football game shown on the patio 

  • 4:00 p.m - 9:00 p.m: Brew Festival. In honor of five years, tickets are only $5 for all access to this beer and spirits tasting featuring 12 local, Oklahoma breweries and distilleries

  • 4:00 p.m: Live music 

Also, popular pop-up The Curious Bison, a local, Oklahoma-company making laser cut gifts and decor, returns to the Limited Time Only Market through December.
